The Daily Mirror was the original rock and roll newspaper and that position has been cemented yet again with the news that The Rolling Stones: 50, a book the band collaborated with Mirrorpix on, has been nominated for Best Book at next month's NME awards. The legendary rockers have been nominated in four categories in total, with nods for 'Best Live Band,' 'Best Book', 'Music Moment of The Year' and 'Best Music Film'' for the documentary Crossfire Hurricane, which also prominently featured photographs from the Mirrorpix archives. The book was released on 12 July 2012, exactly 50 years since the band's first public appearance, at the Marquee Club on Oxford Street, central London. Included in the title are archive photos from the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People. Twitter: @Mirrorpix Carefully driven home through country roads to avoid getting stuck, but thanks to our technology whizz I'm all set up at home just as if I were at my own desk. With the added bonus of the woodburner. So all fotofringe and other activities continue as normal, updating website at present, visitor registrations continue apace.... and lots of lovely comments about how people are looking forward to fotofringe 2013!
